Live and let Bondi !
Our bus ride back from Bondi Beach was reminiscent of our Cairns beach experience.
A sweaty mix of day at the beach day in the sun folks of many flavors, colors, and languages packed in like sardines. But nothing fishy about it, as everyone seemed to be steeped in the satisfaction of a day well done.
Oh yes, wonderful sea water and waves with a cliff side pathway stretching southward along the coast. An Italian touch of Cinqua Terra in New South Wales, which for us was Tamarana Bay on the way to Bronte Beach.
The sights and sounds were varied, but not as much as the people. We estimated about 4,000 on the main beach. There were only a few hundred just a few kilometers down the cliff path where we ended up. According to the informational signs, on a full-on-over-the-top beach day there are 35,000 Bondi bathers.
The multi-cultural, multiple ethnicities, cultural convergences, and mix of Australians is most evident at the beach. You hear the voices, see the colors, and appreciate the dress and inclusivity of the great equalizer that is the beach.
View back at Bondi beach and bathers.
Cliff over look at tidal pool and aquatic dog park. If you look closely, you can see about 9 dogs and their owners.
The "Ice Berg Pools", open all year for salt water lap swimming and looking good.
Ann looking good !
On the way to Tamarana Bay with breezy skirts.
Can you tell who went in the water...?
